Night journey is the most beautiful experience during a road trip. On the other hand, they are also most likely to turn out being dreadful if haven’t taken care of yourself or your vehicle. So here are some simple care tips that could possibly avoid terrifying emergency like experiences during your night journey
Start with yourself,
Wear a suitable and comfortable eye wear: According to WHO nearly 1 billion people across the globe have defects in sight Hence it’s advised to either wear a proper lens or spectacles as advised by the doctor you consult. Also, to those people who prefer sunglasses to avoid glaring light from the opposite vehicles, choose the ones with good quality anti-reflective coating rather than yellow-tinted sunglasses.
Then come the exterior, Wipe the windshield properly: Windshields have a lots dirt and streaks that are more likely to cause blurry view in the night times rather than that of the day time. Avoid the usage of hands because the fluids from our skin smear and let the light glare. Usage of newspapers, microfiber or a cotton cloth are highly recommended. Also, avoid touching the insides of Windshields, side windows and all rear-view mirrors.
Adjust your headlights: It is very important to adjust and aim your headlights to the correct angle such that the opposite vehicle driver is not blinded. Make sure that your headlights are emitting the required amount of light to have a safer night journey because aged bulbs tend to emit lesser light.
Dashboard Lights: During a night journey, a human eye has to constantly keep adjusting to different amounts of lights coming from different sources, so it’s better to decrease the number of light sources to have a safe journey. One such extra light source is the dashboard light, therefore dimming the dashboard Lights can remove or reduce reflections on the wind shield.
Opposite traffic lights: Bright light can have a serious effect on the concentration of a driver during night journey. It is highly recommended to turn your gaze away from other lights on the road and avoid oncoming high light beams.
